i have been working on this little project for quite some time, and it's finally ready to share with all of you... just in time for the holidays!.
this project entailed converting scans of hard copies of public talk outlines into pdf format and then compiling all of them into zip folders.
there are over 150 documents in total, complete with update notices from brooklyn.

A few weeks ago (I don't remember exactly when) I sent out around 50 to all the elders whose home addresses I knew, in all the congregations around here. I also sent it to all my JW family members.
However, as I sent it anonymously, I have not received any feedback!
....anything at all??

You don't know the jws I know, min. I know jws who speed, drink and drive, get around the inspection sticker, fudge on their taxes, cheat on their spouses, sold drugs in the KH.
I know jws that stole from the contributions, kept the money for the worldwide work instead of putting it in the contribution box, failed to pay employment taxes for their jw employees, molested children, broke into witness homes and trashed them.

i went to the norco circut assembly and these are the recent $ numbers quoted ... .
as of 4/14/2007 (the first of two circut assemblies) we had $10,260,22 (a surplus) .
Perhaps the high costs of circuit assemblies is mainly due to the massive increase in insurance premiums.
After all, aren't WT now paying their child abuse settlements out of the KHAA?

A similar conclusion was reached by a 2001 Harvard University study by Bruce Sacerdote and Edward Glaeser titled "Education and Religion" (available for download here). This study found that, in general, increased education causes individuals to "sort into less fervent religions" and "decrease[s] belief in the returns to religious activity". The study found a strong negative correlation between higher education and beliefs that miracles occur, that heaven and hell exist, that the Devil is an actual being and that the Bible is literally true. More educated people were significantly less likely to believe all these things.

well, i know you all pretty well now after 9 months of being on board , so i feel o.k.
to approach this subject.
this subject is a pretty touchy one for most of us men, especially those of us that have been put under the " knife" , and got to the point where we did not want any more children.
I had mine done about 18 years ago: absolutely no problems, in and out in under an hour, no pain (I drove home afterwards), the scars healed within a couple of days. After a while (3 months? I don't remember now) I sent in a sample for testing and was told I still had about 5% sperm; repeated test (after 6 months?), got the all clear to discontinue other birth control methods.
Having said that, my jaw hit the floor when I walked in to the small operating theatre -- it turned out the surgeon was an old school friend I'd lost touch with! Funnily enough, I think I coped with the embarassment better than he did! So while he was fiddling with my balls we had a very pleasant time reminiscing over old times!
If anyone's thinking of getting snipped, personally, I'd unreservedly recommend it.
